Assessment a of a disease management system with medical devices in renal disease. For patients with chronic illness, self-management is the key to determine clinical outcome. This project introduces a new home-based medical device for measuring the creatinine level, by providing patients with options for home-based blood pressure measurements, and by providing a website for feedback and eLearning. |
Computer Support for anxiety disorder treatment at home (CATCH). People with social phobia have a strong fear of social situations. This project focuses on the design and evaluation of a virtual reality exposure therapy system for the treatment of social phobia in the clinic and at home. |
SleepCare: Persuasive technology for personalized sleep coaching. People with insomnia have problems with falling or staying asleep. This project examines various aspects of computerized sleep coaching. |
Multi-Modal Memory Restructuring System (3MR). This system is designed with the intention to support trauma-focused psychotherapy that focuses on restructuring and relearning of past events. |
Virtual eCoaching and Storytelling technology for post-traumatic stress disorder treatment. This project studies how effectively and in what manner a stand-alone, multi-modal memory restructuring (3MR) system and Internet-based guided self-therapy version could be used for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder patients. |
Virtual reality and phobias. Virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET) has been put forward as an effective mean to treat individuals with anxiety disorders. The focus of this project is both on the VR technology involved and clinical effect of this type of therapy. |
